You know the loop.
The conversation replayed forty times.
The decision second-guessed long after it was made.
The tension in your body that sleep doesn't fix.
You've read the books. Tried the breathing apps. Told yourself to think more positively, be more present, be more grateful. None of it touched the level where this actually lives.
That's not because you haven't tried hard enough.
It's because anxiety doesn't live where understanding lives.
If any of this feels familiar, this journal was written for you.

A 5-part guided journal, grounded in nervous system understanding and somatic practice, moving through:
Recognition - seeing your anxiety clearly, perhaps for the first time without shame
Understanding - where this pattern came from, why it makes complete sense, and how it shows up in your specific patterns - the overthinker, the perfectionist, the procrastinator, the people-pleaser
Interruption - body-based tools for the moments it arrives
Reconnection - finding your way back to yourself underneath the anxiety
Reset - what changes, what to do when it returns, what becomes possible
Plus weekly reflection pages, somatic check-ins throughout, and practices for the days when everything feels like too much.
This is a read-and-reflect journal - you can print off and write in the space provided, or you can write in a separate notebook of your own alongside it.
This isn't a programme to complete correctly. There's no linear order, no pass or fail.
Some pages you'll write pages. Others, a single word will be enough.
Both are exactly right.

This journal is written for anxiety - whether or not you can trace it to something specific. For many women, it's rooted in relational experience: early environment, emotionally unsafe relationships, years of managing everyone else's comfort before your own.
For others, there's no clear story at all, just a nervous system that stays on alert without an obvious reason why. Either way, this journal meets you where you are.
It may be right for you if:
One distinction worth naming: this journal is for anxiety - a nervous system reacting to remembered or anticipated threat, not something happening right now. If you're currently in an unsafe situation, what you're feeling is fear responding to real risk, and it deserves direct support rather than a reflective journal. The same goes for anxiety with an underlying medical cause, or diagnosed conditions like OCD or GAD requiring clinical intervention.
If you're unsure which applies to you, a free clarity call is a good place to start.

No. This journal is educational and self-reflective - it doesn't constitute therapy, clinical assessment, or a therapist-client relationship. For many women, it's a meaningful place to begin. For others, it surfaces something that benefits from dedicated therapeutic support - and that's an equally right outcome.
Not necessarily. This journal is for anxiety and self-doubt rooted in relational experience - which may or may not involve what you'd label "trauma."
Many women who use this have. It's less a starting point, more a companion for the anxiety that lingers after insight - the part talking therapy alone hasn't quite reached.
No. This journal is intended for the slower work of personal reflection, not acute distress. If you're currently in crisis, please contact Samaritans (116 123), text SHOUT to 85258, or in an emergency call 999.(UK) If you are outside of the UK, please contact your healthcare provider or local crisis number.
You're welcome to book a free 20-minute clarity call to explore whether ongoing sessions or the Anxiety & Overthinking Intensive would be the right next step.
You came here carrying something. The overthinking. The self-doubt. The tiredness of a nervous system that's been on alert for longer than it should have had to be.
This journal is not therapy. What it offers is a way to understand anxiety, work with it, and - slowly - come back to yourself underneath it.
This journal is an educational and self-reflective resource. It does not constitute therapy, clinical assessment, or a therapist-client relationship, and using it does not create an ongoing relationship with Sharon Nicholson or her practice.
It is not designed for anxiety caused by an underlying medical condition, for diagnosed conditions such as OCD or GAD requiring clinical intervention, or for use during acute distress or mental health crisis. Offering online trauma therapy across the UK, including Weymouth, Dorset and surrounding areas.
This practice specialises in the anxiety, self-doubt, and loss of self that follow relational trauma, PTSD, betrayal, narcissistic abuse, and traumatic bereavement — and in helping women feel safe enough to finally live the life that has been waiting for them, through the body, not just the mind.
Brainspotting, evolved from EMDR, is my primary modality - body-based, gentle, and often reaching what talking therapy alone has not been able to shift. If you have been searching for EMDR therapy and want to understand how Brainspotting compares, a free clarity call is the right place to start.
